Asian polypropylene prices closed $5-30/mt lower in the week. Sentiment discernibly softened, despite a $60/mt jump in propylene costs, on a sudden squeeze in supplies. In light of higher costs, Asian producers hiked offers for benchmark raffia/injection parcels to $1,180-1,200/mt, and although enquiries increased with the leap in propylene, buyers were not willing to pay beyond $1,160/mt CFR.
