Braskem’s polypropylene offers to Mercosur climbed $100- 150/mt for September supported by firm demand and US resin offers being scarce in the area, said a company source. After the increase, Brazilian polypropylene offers to Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia were at $1,580-1,650/mt CFR for homo film, raffia and injection, $1,650-1,720/mt CFR for co-polymer and at $1,720-1,790/mt CFR for random. Brazilian resin offers to Argentina which were at $1,800-1,900/mt CFR for homo, $1,900-2,000/mt CFR for co-polymer and at $1,970-2,070/mt CFR for random. A buyer in Paraguay said they were studying the market this week, but they should buy resin from Brazil this month.
