US propylene inventories lengthen to 2.47 million barrels

Houston—US propylene inventories lengthened further on the week, gaining 121,000 barrels to 2.470 million barrels for the week ending April 9, according to the Energy Information Administration. This follows a gain of 171,000 for the week ending April 2. On the year, propylene inventories were down 724,000 barrels. Meanwhile spot refinery grade propylene values began to show signs of deterioration this week as offers have fallen sharply. April spot RGP has fallen roughly 10 cents/lb since the beginning of the month and was seen offered Tuesday at 52 cents/lb MtB pipe.
