Acrylonitrile prices in Asia parted ways. In the CFR Far East Asia market, demand was expected to ease from next week, when the Chinese markets will be closed for the Mid- Autumn Festival (September 22-24) and National Day holidays (October 1-7). This resulted in a lack of interest for spot cargoes, as normal production activities are expected to resume only from mid-October onwards. Both CFR Far East Asia/Southeast prices lost 0.24%, or $5/mt, to settle at $2,050/mt and $2,070/mt, respectively.
