The assessments for June monthly Northwest European polypropylene contract prices were held steady this week amid ongoing negotiations between consumers and producers. Price increase targets were heard to have fallen to as low as a Eur20-25/mt increase versus May levels, way below the Eur50/mt ($61.59/mt) increase targeted by European producers at the beginning of the month. Buyers’ targeted gross prices were still around the assessed level of Eur1,375/mt for homo injection grade.
