The European September ethylene contract price settled Friday settled at Eur950/mt ($1,212/mt) FD NWE, a Eur10/mt increase on August. The initial settlement was concluded by Ineos as a consumer and Total Petrochemicals as a producer. Ineos confirmed the settlement. Total was not immediately available for confirmation. The settlement was shortly followed by Polimeri Europa as a second producer with its ethylene consumers Ineos and LyondellBasell. All three parties confirmed. Then Vinnolit reported following the settlement with its producer Shell.
