The assessment for linear low density polyethylene monthly December contract prices remained steady this week with buyers and sellers reporting average settlement values in the range of Eur1,035-1,045/mt FD NWE. The majority of December business was said to have been concluded earlier in the month in most cases with only the exception of a handful of larger buyers settling late at slightly lower numbers. Product availability in LLDPE was described as extremely short in some cases, one producer saying that “Demand has been very good for December, and if any new business appeared now I couldn’t do it... regardless of price I have nothing left.”
