Ethylene: Europe

The European ethylene contract price for April settled Eur40/mt higher on the month to Eur1,345/mt FD NWE. The initial settlement was done between producer BP Refining and Petrochemicals with its customers Ineos, Vinnolit and Celanese; it was followed by a second producer SABIC with Celanese. All parties confirmed. The April CP was the second consecutive historic high. The increase brings the total rise this year to Eur265/mt and is the fourth increase in a row.
