US polyvinyl chloride (PVC) export values were assessed on either side of $1,020/mt CFR, $15 higher from the previous week as supply tightness was reported and despite sluggish demand remained. Sources said the market was very quiet this week. However, April prices were expected to remain under upward pressure as production costs were soaring and some producers continued selling more volumes in the domestic market. Some traders said April notional offers were talked this week around $1,030-1,040/mt FAS Houston. However, no bids were heard corresponding those price levels.
