European styrene prices fell $38.75/mt over the week dropping below the $1,400/mt mark to be assessed at $1,386.25/mt. The market fell in line with benzene which was pulled lower by ambiguous buyers and the steep backwardation. A similar effect was observed in styrene with more uncertainty about the demand/supply balance in the rest of the second quarter.
