Paraxylene rose $6.50/mt Friday to close at $914.50/mt FOB Korea and $933.50/mt CFR Taiwan/China, as sentiments turned bullish following news of Taiwan's CPC shutting down its three PX plants in November. GS Caltex registered a bid for any-December parcels at $915/mt CFR Taiwan/China and then raised the bid to $925/mt CFR, but could not draw out any sellers.
