Asian PP prices firmed on the back of increasing feedstock costs amid firm demand. PP raffia/injection prices increased by $22.50/mt to hover around $1,132.50/mt CFR Far East Asia as of Wednesday. Some PP producers in North Asia that had been selling a large part of their November cargoes, were taking a step back and targeting levels in the China market as high as $1,170-1,180/mt CFR, as they were worried about the trend in propylene feedstock costs.
