Asian polypropylene prices ended Wednesday up slightly from a week earlier but below peaks seen last Thursday and Friday. The PP raffia benchmark was assessed at $1,364/mt CFR Far East Asia Wednesday, up $2/mt week on week. The CFR Southeast Asia and CFR South Asia markers both rose $13/mt week on week to $1,380/mt and $1,383/mt, respectively. Prices rose last Thursday and Friday after market participants reacted to a price hike by China Petroleum & Chemical Corp., or Sinopec, late last Wednesday.
