European converters were becoming increasingly wary of the sustained rise in contract prices, which continued to push historic highs this week. March gross prices rose by another Eur10/mt after business settled so far in the month consolidated at around to Eur1,535-1,540/mt, up Eur75/mt from February and a new record peak for European polypropylene contracts, Platts data showed. Most converters have conceded that further price increases were unavoidable this month, given soaring feedstock costs.
