EDC: The Asian ethylene dichloride market continued to climb this week, with prices rising $5/mt from the previous week to $534/mt CFR Far East Asia and $524/mt CFR Southeast Asia Thursday amid firm demand and tight supplies. EDC demand from the non-vinyls sector in China remained strong for March arrival business, with buying indications reported at $530-540/mt CFR China. Meanwhile, EDC demand from vinyls producers started to pick up this week, in tandem with the rising VCM market with buying interests reported at $500/mt CFR China.
