The steep correction in styrene spot prices since November 11has undermined polystyrene producer attempts to pass-through the steep cost of styrene into November PS contractprices. This week, a number of converters and producersreported prices remained on course to fall on weak demandand balanced-to-long supply. Styron announced in Novemberit would seek to increase general-purpose and high-impact PSprices by Eur70/mt on November 14 due to the surge in spotprices.
