US PVC export prices remained steady week-over-week as participants were in a wait-and -see position on expectations that next week US producer would post their September offers. The 3-to-30 day assessment was at $985/mt FAS Houston. Some traders reported buying appetite from China, India, North Africa and Egypt with some deals closed for August and September shipments pegged at $1,080-1,100/mt CFR. A parcel of nearly 2,000 tons for September shipment was reported done to China at $1,080/mt CFR. In Latin America, US offers were talked at $1,080-1,100/mt CFR Santos Brazil, and at $1,120/mt CFR Callao, Peru, though confirmation of deals done was not immediately available.
