LLDPE price assessments were at the same levels this week since the market was reported slow due to the Carnival holiday in some Latin Countries and steady offers from US and Brazil over February. Brazilian March LLDPE offers to Paraguay were heard at $1,690/mt CPT and a resin distributor said availability went down to the country. The freight cost from Brazil to Paraguay was heard at $80-90/mt. For the Brazilian domestic market, a local producer reported offers for March at the same February levels at Reals 4,400/mt FOT ($2,650/mt) for LLDPE butene and at Reals 4,450/mt FOT for hexene.
