French strike continues to curtail output at Total plant

London-France's Total has shut a number of units at its 343,000 b/d Gonfreville refinery in northern France after failing to resolve a strike over pay now in its fourth day.Total began cutting production to a minimum late Sep 20 after a labor strike at the system's logistics and supply division halted deliveries both into and out of the refinery. "There is no change to the situation, some units are now shut down," a Total spokeswoman said Sep 23.
