Venezuela seeks to impound shell assets

Venezuela's Seniat tax authority has asked a court to impound 130-mil of assets belonging to Royal Dutch Shell,in addition ot shutting the oil firm's administrative offices over a claim for back taxes.The Seniat has asked for the confiscation of"Goods and rights for more than 280-bil bolivars as it considers that there are enough obejctive technical elements that imply a serious risk to the receipt of taxes owed,"Seniat sai din a statement issued late Aug 11.
