The present invention relates to a method of implementing an asset management shell (AAS) of a smart manufacturing system, and digitizes the production system by placing an asset management shell (AAS) that virtualizes manufacturing assets and exchanges data between heterogeneous assets can be done efficiently. To this end, the present invention proposes to digitize an asset management shell (AAS) in a smart manufacturing system. AAS is implemented using Automation Markup Language (Automation Markup Language) and Open Platform Communication Unified Architecture (OPC UA). Here, AutomationML is used to represent and implement the information model of AAS for each asset, and OPC UA is used to provide a communication interface for AAS.
