London-Britain plans to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 15.2% from 1990 levels by 2010 as part of its revised National Allocatior Plan under the European Union's emerging emissions trading scheme,the UK government said May 6.The revised NAI? which has been submitted to the European Commission,is much less stringent on the UK's offshore oil industry,which was facing the need to cut C02 emissions by 37.6% by 2010 under initial proposals.Overall,the UK's revised target compares with draft plans to cut emissions in the initial 2005-07 phase of the scheme by 16.3% from 1990 levels.
