The US rig count was 1,129 for the week ended Mar 5,down by five from the prior week,according to Baker Hughes.The latest count includes 1,011 land,97 offshore and 21 inland water rigs,with 964 assigned to gas,161 to oil and four to miscellaneous drilling.The rigs were drilling 736 vertical,302 directional and 91 horizontal wells.
