The sorting and counting appts. is mainly for handling fish automatically. It is built of polished stainless steel which reduces friction, and the fish are counted electronically. The frame is made of bent steel sections, and turns the fish to a vertical position, advancing them through the counter. The frame is built of rectangular channels on either side of a central triangular hollow prism which slopes upwards through the counting zone, which uses photo-transistor cells.
