Rockies pipe flows to Southwest surge as flows to Midwest decline

Rockies gas pipeline flows to the Southwest are on the rise as higher temperatures and power burn drive price spreads higher. Flows out of the Rockies to the Midwest have dropped about 0.3 Bcf/d over the last two weeks. The vast majority of the drop in flows to the Midwest took place on Rockies Express Pipeline, which has been sending about 1 Bcf/d east out of the Rockies since June 18, a roughly 0.4 Bcf/d decline from earlier in the month. This drop occured shortly after Rockies outflows on REX climbed to more than 1.5 Bcf/d, the highest outflows since April.
