China’s Yunnan Aluminium aimsto double its alumina refinery capacity to 1.6million mt/year by end-2016 from the current800,000 mt/year, which reflects a half-yeardelay from an earlier planned deadline, acompany source said on March 29.Expansion work at the south Chinarefinery was originally expected to start atthe end of 2015 and be completed within sixmonths. But plans were put on hold on theback of weak market conditions.
