China Nonferrous’ 2015 copper cathode output up 21%

Hong Kong-listed China NonferrousMining Corp. produced 68,464 mt ofcopper cathode in 2015, up 21.2% from 2014,but its copper concentrate and blister copperoutput dropped sharply from its operationsin Zambia and the Democratic Republicof Congo.The Africa-focused miner and producerreported a 17.6% decline in copperconcentrate production to 37,876 mt in 2015.Blister copper production slumped 16.4% to185,698 mt last year. Sulfuric acid fell 21.4%year on year to 481,364 mt.
