COMEX gold cedes gains on rising bond yields; PGMs fall

The precious metals complexturned lower on May 12, with rising bondyields putting pressure on gold prices,although platinum and palladium were thebiggest losers in light trading.COMEX gold for June delivery, the active contract, dipped $3.90 to $1,271.60/oz,giving back a chunk of gains from a $10 rallyin the previous session. Silver for Julydelivery sank $0.216 to $17.103/oz.
