Analysts ratchet gas price outlooks lower as supply continues to swell

A slew of analysts predict gas prices will continue to plague the domestic gas market in 2010, with production predicted to continue expanding rapidly despite a flood of supply already on the market. "There is no reason to mince words," Barclays Capital analyst James Crandell said in a note to clients March 24. "2010 is nearly as oversupplied as 2009, principally owing to growing US gas supply and higher liquefied natural gas imports."
