Siemens, the German engineering conglomerate, has increased its industrial steam turbine portfolio with the launch of two products at a trade event in Cologne. The Enhanced Platform is designed to bolster the efficiency of steam turbines with outputs between 15 and 250 megawatts (mw).The platform design will be introduced to the SST-600 and SST-800 industrial steam turbines, before being rolled out across the rest of the model range, the company said in a statement.
