It is an honor and a privilege to serve as your president for 2008.First I want to thank the many members volunteering their time and energy,and the AIChE staff for their work that has resulted in continued improvement of our finances and a second year of positive membership growth.New initiatives focused on serving students and young professionals,enhancing our ability to speak to the energy challenge,and expanding our international presence continue to be priorities for the Institute.
