The interaction of gold nuclei with photoemulsion nuclei at energies in the range 1001200 MeV per nucleon was studied experimentally. A consistent comparison of the experimental data obtained in this way with the results of the calculations based on the cascade-evaporation model is performed. (c) 2005 Pleiades Publishing, Inc.
