President, fellow participants, ladies and gentlemen,Good morning!We have a common understanding at the Panel Session on Public Health: with economic globalization, a neweye-catching social undertaking is flourishing and this is Public Health. Various public health hazards, ranging fromSARS to Avian Influenza, have attracted the attention of the world. Regrettably, there are still many misconceptionsamong the public concerning public health. That is why I am invited here today to give a new social mobilizationspeech on Public Health.
