:Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of press-needle therapy for urinary retention after epidural anesthesia. Methods 〓Totally 100 patients with urinary retention after epidural anesthesia were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine nursing, and the observation group was treated with press-needle therapy on the basis of routine nursing. The efficacy was compared between two groups. Results 〓The overall response rate(ORR)of the observation group was 96.00%(48/50), in which 5 cases were healed, 43 cases were effective and 2 cases were non-effective; the ORR of the control group was 86.00%(41/50), in which 8 cases were healed, 33 cases were effective and 9cases were non-effective. There was statistical significance between two groups(P0.05)regarding the ORR. Conclusion 〓Press-needle therapy has a definite effect and higher safety in the treatment of urinary retention after epidural anesthesia, so it deserves to be popularized in clinic.
