Thecurrentstudyisapiecefromtheoriginalprojectentitled"DiagnosisoftheArtisticGymnasticsDevelopmentPrograminBrazil".Amongothersissues,thecoachingphilosophyofcoacheswhoaredevelopinggymnaststhatmayberepresentativeofthenationalteamwasamatterofanalysis.Weinterviewed46coachesfrom29sportsinstitutionsinBrazil.Asdatacollectionweusedasemi-structuredinterviewandfordatatreatmentweadoptedthecontentanalysismethodofBardin(2010).Wehavefoundoutthatthereisaninconsistentphilosophicalbasis,andinmanyinstitutionsthishasbeenmixedupwiththeobjectivesofthetrainingprogramorjustdoesn'texist.Thisfactneedsconsiderationandcriticism,butweknowthatthecoachingphilosophyisnotdevelopedduringthecoachingeducationcourses./font
