The water sector has done a fantastic job implementing advanced water treatment technologies and operating systems, and while incredible strides have been made in protecting public health and the environment since the Water Environment Federation (WEF) was founded in 1928, there is much more to do, given the many challenges faced by the water sector. From my travels in the past year as the president of WEF, it has been truly inspiring and enlightening to see the heartfelt passion of WEF members and global partners in developing solutions.
