Tobacco Factories Have Been Privatised

BGR: The privatisation of Bulgartabac's tobacco factories in Plovdiv and Stara Zagora, both in Bulgaria, through the Stock Exchange, took place this month. The plans for this were announced in front of Darik radio by Vladimir Karolev, Co-Manager of the Balkan consulting company. Bulgartabac's asking lowest price for the cigarette factories in Plovdiv and Stara Zagora is BGN38mn (US$30.7mn), according to the parameters of the sale announced on the Stock Exchange. The interest towards the sale would be initially tested by offering minority packages. On July 11,1.77% from the Stara Zagora factory was listed with a minimum price of BGN 18.9 (US$15.3) per share while the remaining 76.4% was offered on July 14.
