Gabriel

The Gabriel is an antiship missile built by Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI). More advanced versions, the Gabriel III and Gabriel IV were developed, but never entered production. The Gabriel was produced under license by South Africa as the Skor-pioen, and in Taiwan as the Hsiung Feng Ⅰ. The Gabriel has been ordered by a small number of foreign customers. In 1994, Israel announced that it was beginning to develop a follow-on to Gabriel, now called Gabriel 5. Development started in earnest in 1999 and the Gabriel 5 is sometimes called Advanced Naval Attack Missile (ASAM).
