Aero Vironment is a UAV firm oriented towards the mini- and mi-cro-UAV market. Its unmanned aircraft division has grown considerably over the past several years due to sales of its Raven mini-UAV and a number of other small UAVs. The firm has enjoyed steady growth over the past few years in connection with the business, having revenues of about $48 million in the year ending 30 April 2004 with UAV revenues rising to $111.1 million in 2006, $146.5 million in 2007, $186.6 million in 2008, $211.4 million in 2009, $224.2 million in 2010, $249.7 million in 2011, $273.7 in 2012, $194.3 million in 2013, $208.8 in 2014. $220.9 in 2015 and $223.7 in 2016. UAVs have accounted for 81 to 90% of Aero Vironment sales in 2007-16.
