Amendments to IP Law Will Come Into Force in 2010

On 19 June 2009, the National Assembly of Vietnam voted to approve Law No. 36/2009/QH12, thereby implementing key changes to the existing Intellectual Property Law. These changes, which come into effect on 1 January 2010, seek to improve varying aspects of the existing Intellectual Property Law encompassing provisions relating to terms of protection, enforcement and procedural matters.
