Court of Justice Decision Puts Fl Back on Track

In a case that has seen almost as much mileage as a Formula One car, the Court of Justice of the European Union has finally brought the chequered flag down on the contest between Global Sports Media Limited ("GSM") and Formula One Licensing BV ("Formula One"). While GSM had been boosted by the earlier General Court opinion in the case, the CJEU's judgment has put Formula One back in the race (Formula One Licensing BV v. OHIM and Global Sports Media Ltd, Case C-196/11 P).
