摘要

The Court of Appeal in Canada's British Columbia province on July 23 rejected Google's application for a partial interim stay of a June 13 interim injunction against it to cease including certain websites in results generated by its search engines worldwide as they facilitated ongoing trade secret infringement by leading potential customers to the websites.British Columbia Supreme Court Justice Lauri Ann Fen-Ion on June 13 ordered an interim injunction against Google Inc in Equustek Solutions Inc v. Jack, 2014 BCSC 1063 (Vancouver Registry S112421) to cease including certain websites in search results generated by its search engines worldwide as it facilitated the defendants' ongoing breach of court orders (see "Canadian Court Orders Google to Cease Worldwide Indexing of Infringing Sites" [28 WIPR 5, 7/1/14]). The plaintiffs in the substantive case claimed that several defendants, while acting as a distributor of the plaintiffs' products, conspired with one of the plaintiffs' former engineer employees and others to design and manufacture a competing product using the plaintiffs' trade secrets.
