Paving precision

A Wirtgen SP 62i slipformer has been used for the cost-effective paving of concrete slab in the US state of Texas. The machine has been utilised for construction work in College Station, a town some 150km north-west of Houston, Texas. The contractor used the SP 62i to pave new lanes on the site of the former Texas World Speedway race circuit. The site of the race circuit is now being redeveloped to make way for housing and more than 76,000m~3 of road will be needed there for the new Southern Pointe residential area. This is being built over an area of 2.6km~2 over the next 12 years.
