Foreign Direct Investment, R&D Mobility and the New Economic Geography: A Survey

摘要

This paper attempts to critically and systematically survey the literature related to international trade, FDI, economic geography and innovation, at both country and firm level, and to propose insights that are useful to both policy makers and firms. The micro and macroeconomic studies considered formalise a new trade paradigm and constitute a considerable step forward in understanding the fragmentation of production and the rapid spread of knowledge and technology across firms and countries.
