Under review are three books concerned with the financial services sector, its uneven development of labour unionism and the present financial crisis. Beginning with a broad outline of each of the three books under review, focus then shifts to two prominent themes featured in Leopold's and Foster and Magdoff's contributions, namely the causes and consequences of the financial crisis.
