The recent announcement by the Organic Exchange that it plans to extend its expertise beyond cotton into other fibres (see page 10) provides another significant indication that the textiles and fashion industry is continuing to raise its game in addressing the need for a more sustainable approach, and illustrates the growing importance of eco issues for consumers, brands and retailers.
