SIL to appoint 12 new apprentices

The UK luxury textiles group SIL Holdings is to invest in its apprenticeship scheme by recruiting 12 new apprentices to work in its weaving, warping, twisting, overlooking, dyeing, colour matching, yarn, production and mending operations. The company, based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, is collaborating on the scheme with the Textile Centre of Excellence, based in Huddersfield. SIL Holdings managing director Andrew Seal said: "We are committed to investing in our people and this increase in our apprenticeship programme forms part of our long-term plans for the future of the company, our workforce and manufacturing in the UK."
