Twenty Vietnamese textile manufacturers have visited Australia to see first-hand how wool is grown, tested and traded as part of Australian Wool Innovation's (AWI) 'Out of Vietnam' project. The delegation of sweater, sock, underwear and accessory manufacturers visited farms, testing houses and an auction, as well as a number of Australian brands and retailers. Launched two years ago, AWI's 'Out of Vietnam' project is aimed at reducing the Australian wool industry's reliance on China, a country to which it exports approximately 80% of its domestic wool.
