Since its creation Inca Tops S.A. has consistently been at the vanguard of Peru's alpaca fibre processing industry. The company's production of alpaca tops and yarns is among the best in the world, while its sister company, Incalpaca TPX, S.A., is focused on knitted and woven manufacture. Inca Tops' range of tops and yarns in alpaca, wool and cotton, as well as special blends incorporating other natural fibres, have established its reputation as a supplier of classic, high quality products for the woven, machine-knitting and hand knitting markets. However, present day market conditions are more dynamic and complicated - underpinned with periods of recession - and, in order to survive, companies need to adopt new strategies to meet their customers' needs.
