Bangladesh trains 60,000 farmers in cotton cultivation

The Government of Bangladesh has trained over 60,000 farmers in modern cotton cultivation, according to Begum Matia Chowdhury, the country's agriculture minister. Chowdhury made the announcement in the Jatiya Sangsad, the supreme legislative body of Bangladesh. She also said that the government has set up 3,050 demonstration plots for a project which has been initiated to increase cotton production.
